UPDATE #4

bran had a lonely day at the hospital today. i had to work all day :-( but he's doing a little better. he's been talking more, he's awake more and went for a couple of walks down the hallways today. he's scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow (thurs). hopefully they'll figure something out and get him off oxygen so he can come home. he was pretty bumbed to miss his last softball game. i'm hoping to give you all better news tomorrow.

UPDATE #3

we were hoping bran would be able to come home today/night, but he's staying over night once again. i had to say goodnight and head home b/c i had to let the poor dogs out and get to bed for work in the morning. he hasn't had a fever all day which is great! he's now on a breathing treament for his pneumonia. he's been eating & sleeping good. now we just gotta get him better. we had a GI Dr. come in today to talk about meds and amounts he's taking for his crohns. we still don't know what they're going to give him, or change with his MG amounts but they're talking that he might have a colonoscopy for his crohns on Thursday. they figured out that the prednizone that bran is on (which i absolutely hate) helps his crohns but makes the pneumonia healing process alot longer and the pneumonia is getting to his crohns, but when's he off the prednizone his ulcers flare up even worse. so hopefully they'll have some kinda good news when i go in tomorrow. i'll stop by before work, on my lunch and then after. and continue to do so until he's home. poor doggies. thanks amber for letting them out everyday!

this is a pic of bran and his breathing treatments. he looks more sick than he is in this pic b/c his eyes are 1/2 shut. he's been awake alot more today and talking alot more!!! also just ignore his nasty beaner stache. they were having a mustache month at work...and of course he won't shave it. he's quite proud of it. yuck!

UPDATE #2

brandon has pneumonia. which isn't surprising. he got it when we were in the hospital when he cut up his hand 2 1/2 yrs ago. it has just come back really bad. we just dont understand how they missed it with sunday nights scan. oh well our bill is just going to be outrageous for 2 ct scans. i'm just glad they finally know how to take care of him. they're going to admit him to the hospital and keep him overnight. its now about 4am & he FINALLY gets to eat something. so once he eats, i'll be heading home to get some sleep. (much needed after two nights in the hospital). hopefully he can come home tomorrow cause i can't miss anymore work. oh and his temperature is normal!!!! yeah for drugs!!! j/k mom

UPDATE #1

i'm hoping i won't have too many updated #s.

well it's midnight on monday to tuesday and we're back at the ER. bran woke up this morning with a fever of 102.5 and being the stubborn boy he is didn't want to go in. he did pretty good the whole day. mostly slept. he took a shower about 8pm and i went into the room after he got out, and he was shaking like crazy. so i wrapped him up and calmed him down (i should be a nurse) and he eventually fell asleep. i went to bed about 10pm. bran rolled over about 11:45pm and he was ON FIRE. luckily i had gotten all of his things together just in case we had to take off again. phew...b/c he was ready to get down there! he said, "jiddyn, can you please drive really fast-my brain is melting". so here i was at midnight going about 70 mph down state st. which i think the limit is 40 or something. he wanted me to go faster, but i was already passing people and going in and out of cars. 70 got us there safely. so now they're doing more blood, scans, x-rays, oxygen up the nose, etc. poor kid hates needles! we'll keep you updated! keep praying and thanks for the phone calls, emails etc.

well what a fun night we have both had. bran has had on and off chest pains for about the last two weeks. last night (sunday) he told me he needed to go to the ER b/c it was hurting really bad and he was having a hard time breathing. so off to the ER we go! we got there about 6:30pm. we got a room and had 2 friends come to give him a blessing (thanks mike & luke). then we waited for the nurse. they took blood & did this and that. they couldn't find anything. so they did a CT Scan on him. what happens...comes back normal. hmmm. the Dr.s can't figure out whats going on. so finally about 1am they let us go home. so went and filled his antibiotic prescription and got home about 2am.

its now 8:30am and bran's temperature is 102.5 oh goody. so this is the update so far. not sure if we'll be heading back in or not. trying to get a hold of our Dr from last night.
