i have a "not so funny then, but funny now" story.
brandon and i were flying home on new years eve from cali. we needed to be at the airport by 4:15pm. we were behind by about 10 mins. not too bad. we checked our bags in, & got through security. i ran to the bathroom really quick (i hate the plane bathrooms). i came out and bran says our flight is delayed 20 mins. dang! but oh well, now we can get something to eat really quick. as were walking i'm still trying to dry my hands. i always move my wedding ring to my knuckle while i dry where it sits on my finger. well i dropped it. not a huge deal. not too happy about it though. so i go pick it up and we both gasped!!!!..........
my side stone was missing. i couldn't believe it just flew out! i almost started crying. so we immediately put our things down (luckily it fell right in front of our terminal). we started looking....on hands and knees...and laying on the stupid airport floor trying to get a shine from the light. more and more people would walk by and ask what we were looking for. we had about 15 people looking with us. someone suggested that we find a broom. good idea!
i go look for a janitor. couldn't find one anywhere. so i head back to look and i just lost it. i started crying, yes in front of everyone. bran tries to tell me it'll be ok....and for the record, you can't make a wife feel better when she's lost a diamond from the most precious item. i finally get a hold of myself and kept looking. a janitor comes walking by, and i ask her for a broom and she says no we can't let anyone else use them. well then can you? she says no! UGH! after 20 mins of searching i found it upside down in the grout. it was dirty so it blended right in.

so thats how i started out my new year. crying in an airport over a diamond. lame.
just thankful our flight was delayed 20 mins or i would've had to leave it, & i'm thankful i found it. now i just gotta get it re-set.

I had the same thing happen to me but it was by big diamond that actully broke off when we were at the PHX airport except I didn't notice it until later and I had no idea where it was....luckly the jewlery replaced it free of charge. I remember not seeing it on my ring anymore and started screaming and then crying.
You poor thing! It is a really good story, though. Lucky you found it.
So, how do you know my cousin, Allen? And yes, he married Stacey Clonts. Do you know her? They've only been married about a month or two. Very cute their story. :) I'll have to tell you sometime...
it's ok to cry over a diamond.
My big diamond fell out right around Halloween. I've been crying ever since.
I don't understand girls and diamonds. Is it because it's worth money? I might cry if I dropped a few thousand dollars into the gutter, but probably not even then. It's a rock. He bought it for you because he loves you and you wanted one. just because the rock falls out doesn't mean he loves you less.
