4th of july in CALIFORNIA!!!

lots of pics! but you already knew that. i think i take so many pics because i love looking at them later and remembering the memories we made!

we we able to take a quick trip to california to see brandon's family over the 4th. a plus to this...some of my family came too! it was so fun to get both sides together! we haven't all been together since the wedding over 3 yrs ago. much needed! we flew in friday afternoon and had a pool party/BBQ. the weather was perfect and the food was yummy as always. we of course stayed up way too late laughing. me, kristy, kailey, toree, austin and chris got up at 4am on saturday morning to drive to ocean side beach to save spots. man were we tired. but we got a great spot! we spent the whole day at the beach! this was the 1st time in a LONG time we were able to get in the water all the way. it seems like we always go to the beach during the winter. we still had to put wetsuits on, but it was so fun! props to everyone that wasn't a sissy and didn't put a wetsuit on. brandon taught me, toree & my mom how to body board. new favorite thing! at first i wasn't catching on. kept slamming into waves, getting water in my ear and nasty salt water in my mouth and eyes. but finally i caught some fun waves that took me all the way back to shore. my dad tried, but didn't pick it up. then he got too cold. i don't blame the old man. sunday we all crashed. not enough sleep and tons of sun. i had a major migraine and got to take some yummy pills that knocked me out for hours. much needed sleep. we all layed around and enjoyed relaxing and hanging out. played uno, watched tv, surfed the internet and just messed around. we left early monday morning. but had just enough time (getting up at 6:30am) to color and put hi-lights in my hair.
