bran and i went to the bishops office after church today to renew our temple recommends. they expire at the end of the month. we went in and started getting to know our bishop a little more and vice versa. the topic (& question) of babies came up. he asked if we were trying. we said no not yet. he then asked me if i wanted kids. i said yes, im just waiting on brandon. he then turn to bran and says, well whats the hold up? we all laugh and brandon says, i dunno. are you scared? bran says, i guess yeah. i butt in and say its financial reasons. then we get the big speech that if we wait, we'll never be ready, we'll never have kids. youre never financially ready. the spirit was really strong. i even got a littel teary. he said, he wants us to be ready and pray for that inspiration to have kids. he was really inspirational to me
(maybe just b/c i want kids).
the lord will provide and i have faith that he will. im just waiting for my dearest husband to get this "financial" thing out of his mind. i can't move, i can't have kids....well what to do get to do? work. (sigh). i want to be a mom.

Hey Jillyn Dusty and I felt the same way and we had gotten the same advice. If you are trying to wait for the right time there NEVER will be!!!! So we prayed about it and I would never go back on my decision of having kids! Once you have the baby you know it was the right thing and you would never change it:) You truly are blessed when you have kids!! Being a mom is the greatest!!! Good luck.
no greater blessings (or stress HA!) are given when you are a mom. It's the best thing ever. The Lord will pour out blessings to you and Bran when you finally decided to have them! Good luck and I know you'll make a great mom!!

Kids are crazy!! Being a mom is great, but no matter what anyone else says only you 2 have to raise and provide for it. The weekend we had Karli we moved into our house and the day after she was born Todd got a job with Mesa. Kids are the greatest blessing, but just remember you will never have enough money.

AND the never having an enough money thing is bull. We were more poor before we had kids. I think the Lord has blessed us abundantly because we have kids. Things really do work out.
