studying = not for me.

i took the GED back in December. I didn't pass math (barely) and social studies (by a lot). I always though math was my "bad" subject. Nope I was wrong. You have to get 410 for each subject. I got a 400 for math. DANG!!! so close. I got a 380 on social studies. BOO!!! So Bran sat down with me tonight to study for social studies. The best way to explain how I don't understand it is that, "it's a different language for me". No joke. I'm so frustrated right now. I have no idea how to study for social studies, or how I'm going to pass. I really hate to admit this on my blog for everyone to read. Yep it's true. didn't graduate from HS because I was homeschooled. Never took the GED until now (yes, I'm almost 25). I feel as though I'm a loser and shouldn't even persue the GED or nursing. I know I'm just in a rut and frustrated, so I'm being negative. I "dream" of passing the GED and then going into nursing in March and graduating from this. *sigh*

Ok you can so do this! Call me and I will help you study social studies. Sorry I cannot help you with math. That really is my worst subject. My degree is in History and I really love social studies. I can make it so easy for you. Actually I am quite impressed with your scores. It has been a long time since you have probably thought about doing math or social studies. I had no idea you never graduated.

I know this sounds so cliche, but have you prayed before you start studying? If not, you will see a HUGE difference in what you understand and can remember. Just involve the Lord in your studies and you will be amazed at how much you will improve. Don't give up! Education is important. Think positively about your end result and you will accomplish this goal. I'm cheering for you!

Jillyn~You are such a smarty pants...I know you can do this. Getting into the study mode is tough when you've taken an extended break from it all. Take the advice above - you'll succeed, I know you will!

Oh Jillyn. You are a lot smarter than you think. You amaze me with what you can and have accomplished. I have no doubt that you can do this. And I agree with Holly. He knows what you are trying to do and I know He is pleased. He will help you. You are going to make a great nurse. You can do it!

Call me if you need help -- I passed my Brandon's class with an A -- I think I have been in school too long --
